Two Waves of Funding

The funding of research proposals by this initiative will take place in two waves targeting two sets of projects of different scales and budgets.

• Through April 1, 2009 the Science of Generosity accepted letters of inquiry in support of proposed research for projects requesting budgets between $250,000–$500,000. Four to eight proposed projects will be awarded funds in November 2009.

• September 1, 2009 the Science of Generosity began accepting letters of inquiry for a second wave of funding for projects with requested budgets of up to $150,000. There will be 7-15 projects selected for these awards. Those proposals not selected for funding in the first wave of competition may be invited to revise and submit again for the second wave of available funds.
